this is your moment.

Too often we think we don’t have any purpose in anything we are doing today, right now. But recently, my dad reminded me of some very wise words; that we can touch someone else’s heart just in the way we speak to them, smile at them, or interact with them. We are alive right now and we can show God’s love right now. Everything and anything can be an opportunity to share God’s love, no matter how small the situation may seem. So stop waiting for the next mission’s trip, the next weekend retreat, the next volunteer event to come. Seize the moment you are in right now. Be a light right now; for you may be the only light some one may come in contact with.

remind someone you love them today

While reading Heaven is For Real, they have a chapter called ‘It’s the People’. This convicted me of what really matters in life. Is it the stuff I have accumulated or the people who I have loved? The Bible tells us, “above all, love deeply”, 1 Peter 4:8. Love is our greatest example of God. Love is so powerful and can affect people’s lives in astounding ways. So don’t forget about the ones who matter in your life. or the ones you just met, the acquaintances, the strangers you walk past everyday; don’t forget to take the extra step to remind someone how special they are and how much they are loved. Love with an open heart and open arms.
