finding the purpose in pain.

“If God sets out to make you an unusual Christian He is not likely to be as gentle as He is usually pictured by the popular teachers. A sculptor does not use a manicure set to reduce the rude, unshapely marble to a thing of beauty. The saw, the hammer and the chisel are cruel tools, but without them the rough stone must remain forever formless and unbeautiful.”

Beautiful words I saw today, that reminded me that our pain has a purpose. Whatever you may be going through right now, where you feel like giving up- don’t give in. Stand firm and be excited for what God is shaping in you.

He is a beautiful artist.

God keeps bringing this verse back to the forefront of my mind:

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

“For when I am weak, I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10

Lord, let us be your vessels. Rid us of ourselves. This life is for you Jesus. Let us never forget your grace. Amen.
